Steel River Group is currently looking for a Project Coordinator – General Construction to join our team of skilled professionals. As a Project Coordinator, you will play a vital role in organizing and overseeing the activities of construction projects, reporting to a general manager. Your responsibilities will involve on-site supervision to ensure project success through close collaboration with construction and operations teams.
Key Job Duties:
- Work closely with experienced project managers to learn the art of client relationship building and efficient project delivery.
- Offer project support by updating schedules, managing project controls, and preparing necessary project documentation.
- Attend project meetings, record key decisions, and communicate effectively between stakeholders.
- Ensure project activities align with Steel River Group's Policies and Procedures.
- Utilize Buildertrend and Microsoft Office Suite for clear project communication and organization.
- Participate in Project Meetings, document minutes, and distribute them to relevant parties.
- Communicate project-related information efficiently, prioritize stakeholder needs, and ensure project deliverables are met on time and within budget.
- Manage monthly claims, engage with contractors and suppliers, and oversee invoice processes.
- Facilitate responses to project queries, handle project documentation, and oversee subcontractor coordination.
- Support in timesheet processing, maintain office equipment, and ensure project files are organized and accessible.
- Assist in contract management, material delivery monitoring, and quality control efforts.
- Promote community well-being through local procurement practices.
- Additional duties as assigned to support the business needs.
Knowledge/Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent field.
- Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in computer literacy, project planning, and multitasking.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Working knowledge of MS Office and SAP.
Working Conditions:
- Role based in Calgary office and project work sites.
