Join our team as a Graduate Student Services Specialist – Scholarships In this vital role, you will provide a wide variety of professional services to students from pre-admission to graduation, ensuring our students have the resources and support they need to succeed. In this role, you will tackle diverse tasks and situations that require your independent judgment and use of a wide range of resources to find innovative solutions.

What You'll Do: Provide Administrative Support: Support the development of Terms of Reference and scholarship policies and procedures.Ensure timely scholarship payments to students and respond promptly to funding-related inquiries.Support the setup, promotion and logistics for the delivery of all scholarship reviews and adjudication of all graduate scholarships and awards, including those in the Graduate Awards Portal. Student Advising Provide guidance and support to current and prospective students on application requirements and policies. Event/Project Coordination Assist with planning and promoting scholarship-related events, including How-To sessions and other special events.Assist with other special projects as directed by the Manager of Graduate Scholarships and Awards. Additional duties may be assigned on an as needed basis.

Submit your application Position Requirements What You Will Bring to the Position: Grade 12 with the successful completion of recognized business course(s). At least five years' related, progressively responsible experience. An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered. Skills That Will Ensure Your Success in this Role: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook) with extensive experience in databases like Banner, CASPUR and Banner Workflow. Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, procedures and processes. Proven ability to provide exceptional customer services, use sound judgment and make decisions based on policies in a student-specific context. Effective collaboration in a fast-paced, high-functioning team environment, with the ability to work with diverse students, staff and faculty. Ability to manage a significant workload with tight deadlines, prioritize tasks and maintain accuracy. Ability to anticipate potential issues and take proactive measures to mitigate or avoid problems. Demonstrated project management skills for event administration and scholarship management, with knowledge of graduate student merit-based awards administration. Familiarity with university policies and procedures.
