Overview

  • The

Financial Associate Coordinator is a member of the Central Finance Team - Customer Accounting and they will provide accounting and financial control support to the Food Service Distributor customer portfolio, including Tibersoft updates, publishing various reports including daily essbase reporting on CDA, weekly deduction reporting and periodic reporting on damages and balance sheet reconciliations. In addition, the role will administer cheque payments, complete GL reconciliations, support the period end booking and year end accrual process. Success in this role will require results-driven behavior, strong attention to detail and organizational skills, communication skills and the ability to work independently, and MS Office Technical strength.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting Food Service Distributor and Customer Reconciliation, deduction approvals, Tibersoft updating and financial controls.
  • Process payments using Direct Key, ensuring accurate backup, approvals and followup
  • Process journal entries through our Oracle system as required
  • Responsible for reconciliation of GL accounts as assigned
  • Daily Essbase CDA Reporting, Prosper ERT reporting and explanation tracking for YTD changes
  • Creating and presenting Periodic Account Receivable (PAR) Reviews with Sr. Food Service leadership teams.
  • Periodic balance sheet reconciliation reporting and variance analysis
  • Adhoc maintenance and analysis of reports as required
  • Period End and Year end accrual support including journal entries, tracking and reporting
  • Maintain high level of controls in accordance with our Global Control Standards (GCS)
  • Support team as required with adhoc projects and customer reconciliations and analysis

Qualifications

  • College Diploma and/or undergraduate University degree, concentration in Finance preferred
  • CGA/CMA an asset but not required
  • Experience in consumer products industry an asset
  • Working knowledge of essbase
  • GL / Report reconciliation experience required
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Moderate to advanced knowledge of Excel and basic knowledge of MS Access
  • Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
