Our Lacombe, AB Beef/Bison processing plant is HACCP certified by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).

The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that loads get out on time while following all GMPs (Good Manufacturing Program) and SQF regulations.

Ensuring that all employees follow the product and employee safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ensuring all products being shipped, received, and packaged as per approved procedures to avoid damage.
• Ensures products shipped to another federally registered establishment conform to the associated regulatory requirements.
• Inspects and ensures that carriers used to load or unload goods are clean, and do not pose a food safety hazard.
• Oversees the Inventory Management System.
• Responsible for Cooler and Freezer cold storage areas.
• Maintains a clean and safe warehouse environment.
• Ensures that any individual (internal or external) coming into the department are trained on and follow the appropriate health and safety policies and procedures.
• Coach, lead, and mentor of warehouse employees

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 35 years' experience in Shipping & Receiving (including exports) in a raw food. environment.
• Working knowledge of food and meat plant regulatory standards (CFIA, etc.), GMP (Good Manufacturing Program), HACCP, FSQR, food safety, food quality, etc.
• Good understanding of Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA).
• Teamplayer with excellent leadership skills, able to motivate others, negotiate effectively, and interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
• Skilled with electronic inventory and data base use.
• Analytical, with problemidentification and problemsolving capabilities.
• Ability to excel in a fastpaced environment where attention to detail and effective multitasking is essential.
• Computer literacy (MS Office).

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Raw foods processing plant based - Forklift operation.

• Exposure to cold temperatures on a continuous basis.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 35 years' experience in Shipping & Receiving
• Sound knowledge of raw meat in Exports
• Supervisory experience
• Forklift License
