The Azrieli Brain Medicine Fellowship Program at the University of Toronto is designed to address complex brain disorders with an interdisciplinary lens.
The program provides successful trainees with integrated, cross-disciplinary skills to approach clinical and research questions related to complex brain diseases.
The Azrieli Brain Medicine Fellowship Program is seeking an experienced, energetic, highly motivated individual to work as a Clinical Research Coordinator.
The individual will work with the Brain Medicine Staff Physicians and Fellows, as part of the research team, assisting with all aspects of ongoing and upcoming research studies within the Brain Medicine Clinic.
Virtual and In-person recruitment, consenting, enrolment, and follow-up visits for study participants, in addition to data collection through the Brain Medicine Clinic, are requirements of this role.

Key Responsibilities and Activities:
- Assists in study administration and study management: ability to adhere to research protocols and to carry out various aspects of conducting a research study or a clinical trial.
- Collaborates with the Investigators and other members of the study team.
- Plans, implements and coordinates all aspects of data collection and maintenance of study documentation as per hospital policy and ICH/GCP guidelines.
- Identifies problems using assessment skills and reports any concerns in a timely fashion.
- Executes study related administrative tasks, including: scheduling participant visits, conducts recruitment interviews, obtains informed consent, collects and enters data and coordinating patient visits/schedule as per study protocol.
- Reviews and assesses study related literature, liaises with sponsor, prepares and participates in study audits or monitoring activities.
- Initiates, manages, and coordinates submissions to Research Ethics Board and contracts for Legal Review
- Maintains up to date training and certifications including GCP, TCPS2, and any other studyrelated required training.
- Financial duties relating to research study relatedactivities:
- Manages orders, invoice payments and reimbursement claims / petty cash requests / purchase requisitions, cost transfers.
- Orders and Maintain studyrelated equipment and supplies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with patients and colleagues, and the ability to multitask and solve problems in an independent manner.
Qualifications/Special Skills include:
- Bachelor's Degree in health services related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a clinical research setting, recruiting participants into multiple studies and conducting studyrequired assessments.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain professional communication and healthy relationships with staff, research participants and their caregivers.
- Research skills including chart review, neurological & psychological assessments are an asset.
- Time management skills: ability to prioritize workload and flexibility to adjust to changing work plans, schedules and deadlines.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills and attention to detail
- Strong work ethic with an ability to solve problems independently.
