Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Technician to join our team.

The Accounting Technician will play a crucial role in supporting our accounting and financial operations, performing a variety of tasks to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting and analysis.

This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse client base and contribute to the success of the firm.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements, reports, and other financial documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and standards.
  • Prepare personal income tax returns, sole proprietors, rental schedules, and employment expenses
  • Prepare corporate tax returns
  • Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements
  • Prepare compilation, review and audit engagement files, including financial statements Making adjustments to client provided information
  • Provide full cycle bookkeeping for corporate clients as required
  • Prepare GST returns and reconcile GST balances
  • Prepare T4's, T'5s, and T3 slips
  • Communicate with clients to identify discrepancies and missing information

Qualifications:

  • CA or CPA designation not required but preferred
years recent experience in public practice in Canada

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
