Jardeg is recruiting Insulator Apprentices for Suncor Firebag project team _
on site near Fort McMurray, Alberta.

This is a permanent position on

_14/14 rotation, 12 hours per day._**Insulators apply, remove and repair thermal and acoustical insulation (calcium silicate, glass foam, mineral wool, Styrofoam, fiberglass) on all types of industrial equipment (duct piping, heat exchangers, tanks, vessels).
An Insulator will be expected to do but are not limited to the following tasks:

  • Demonstrate the installation, fitting, fabrication and attachment of insulation, finishing and weatherproofing materials to a high standard of workmanship
  • Use efficiently and safely all hand and power operated equipment used by the insulation industry
  • Read and correctly interpret blueprints, specifications and building codes
  • Thoroughly describe insulation materials and their uses
  • Describe all systems requiring insulation
  • Coordinate insulation work with other trades on the job site
  • Comply with all safety regulations of the construction industry
  • Perform assigned tasks in accordance with quality and production standards required by industry

Position Qualifications:

  • CSO (Common Safety Orientation)
  • OSSA/ESC Approved Fall Protection
  • OSSA/ESC Approved Confined Space Entry & Monitor
  • OSSA/ESC Elevated Work Platform/Ariel Work Platform


 WHMIS 201
  • Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE)Training certification
  • Valid Full Class 5 Driver's License
  • Apprenticeship Ticket
  • Valid Government Issued Identification
