We are seeking an experienced Business Continuity Specalist to join our team at Control Risks.

As the Business Continuity Specialist, you will play a critical role within our client's security team helping improve BC programs and other security needs.

This role is for a 6-month contract.

Assist with developing, maintaining, or implementation of resiliency solutions, including business continuity plans, business impact analysis, and documentation of procedures.

Help plan, facilitate, observe, and debrief regular mock-disaster exercises to test the adequacy of existing plans and strategies.
Analyze impact on, and risk to, essential business functions to identify acceptable recovery time periods and resource requirements.
Support Client event security team in the execution of safe secure and successful events, ranging from large internal (non-public) Client events to large marquee public events
Conduct desktop or in-person assessment of venues in Toronto/Toronto area, with the possibility of conducting some limited assessments at other locations in Canada
Develop event-specific issues management playbook
Where feasible and at the discretion of Client, support the build out of elements of the broader corporate program, including but not limited to executive protection and travel risk management
Other duties as assigned

~ Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
~5-7 years of experience in government, corporate security or a similar role
~ Event security or close protection experience
~ Ability to understand and mitigate threat-related considerations in various event settings
~ Ability to provide measured and timely guidance under pressure
