Sprinkler Fitter

Requirements:
- Completion of the 4 year sprinkler fitter apprenticeship program
- A member of local 853 in good standing
- Follow verbal and written instructions.
- Majority of work all above head
- Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
- Read and understand construction blueprints, diagrams, and specifications used in installation activities
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.
- Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Valid Certificate (Lift, Working at Heights)
Service
- Wet, dry, preaction systems, small renovations that require modifications. Trouble shoot systems that are not in proper operation. Make applicable repairs
Contracts
- Install new systems in both retro and new builds. Coordinate with onsite trades, track and order material, follow track and report on safety procedures
Inspection
- Inspect, test all applicable systems (fire pumps, hydrants, different alarm valves and devices
- Maintain knowledge of codes and standards
Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent
Salary:
From $58.61 per hour
Expected hours:
No less than 36 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
