OVERVIEW

This is a full-time Crater position based in Pickering, 44 hours per week working Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm, with the possibility for voluntary overtime.

This role provides Group benefits after a 3 month probationary period, and Boot Allowance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Fabricate and assemble shipping crates and skids for our products that will ensure contents are secure for exporting via air/sea/truck.
• Reading the orders to identify products / materials to crate /package
• Operate radial arm saws, pneumatic nail and staple guns, other hand power tools and read a tape measure
• Packaging products safely and secured
• Build /frame skids and crates to accommodate products for shipping
• Shrink wrap products once crated

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Experience packaging, material handling, receiving and framing
• Previous experience working safely with hand tools such as drills, saws, etc.
• Forklift training is an asset
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety
• Ability to work at a very fast pace with the ability to prioritize and multitask
• Ability to organize and keep work area clean and tidy
• Ability to read orders and prepare finished product to be crated, shrink wrapped and staged.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lb.
• Team oriented with the ability to work well with others safely.
