**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**:
provide non-judgmental crisis intervention when responding to calls which include risk assessment, problem solving, exploring resources and safety planning with Service Users as per the 988 Guidelines
- Inquire regarding suicide ideation, planning, or attempt in progress, with each Service User call.
- Initiate active rescues when intervention is required.
- Maintain familiarity with applicable community resources, notably Mental Health and Substance Use Crisis Response Services.
- Maintain the dignity and confidentiality of each caller.
- Participate in team meetings and/or professional development opportunities as required. This will be done within the financial restraint of the Program and in consultation with the Program Supervisor.

**REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND CHARACTERISTICS**
- Must be bilingual; fluent in English and French
- Must possess relevant experience working with vulnerable individuals.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Reliable, non-judgmental and empathic approach to individuals.
- Ability to address situations and make decisions in stressful environments.
- Possess a valid negative Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
- Ability to work independently.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Completed or in process of completing post-secondary program in a related field or equivalent experience.

**INTERVENANT BILINGUE EN CAS DE CRISE DE SUICIDE 988**

Sous la supervision directe du superviseur du programme, le répondeur de la ligne d'assistance en cas de crise de suicide 988 travaillera dans un espace privé et sera chargé de fournir une intervention de crise sans jugement lorsqu'il répondra aux appels de la ligne d'assistance en cas de crise de suicide. Les intervenants recevront l'équipement informatique approprié pour satisfaire aux exigences du poste.

**RESPONSABILITÉS SPÉCIFIQUES**:

- fournir une intervention de crise sans jugement lors de la réponse aux appels, qui comprend l'évaluation des risques, la résolution de problèmes, l'exploration des ressources et la planification de la sécurité avec les utilisateurs du service conformément aux lignes directrices 988.
- Renseignez-vous sur les idées suicidaires, les projets ou les tentatives de suicide en cours, à chaque appel d'un utilisateur du service.
- Initier des sauvetages actifs lorsqu'une intervention est requise.
- Rester familier avec les ressources communautaires applicables, notamment les services de réponse aux crises en matière de santé mentale et de toxicomanie.
- Préserver la dignité et la confidentialité de chaque appelant.
- Participer à des réunions d'équipe et/ou à des opportunités de développement professionnel, selon les besoins. Cela se fera dans le cadre des contraintes financières du programme et en consultation avec le superviseur du programme.
- Rester familier avec les ressources communautaires applicables, notamment les services de réponse aux crises en matière de santé mentale et de toxicomanie.
- Les intervenants devront respecter les politiques et procédures de la FCC, et compris l'utilisation des ordinateurs et des téléphones portables.

**COMPÉTENCES, CONNAISSANCES ET CARACTÉRISTIQUES REQUISES**
- Doit être bilingue ; parle couramment l'anglais et le français
- Doit posséder une expérience pertinente de travail avec des personnes vulnérables.
- Excellentes compétences en communication écrite et verbale.
- Approche fiable, sans jugement et empathique envers les individus.
- Capacité à faire face à des situations et à prendre des décisions dans des environnements stressants. Posséder un contrôle de police pour travail vulnérable négatif et valide.Capacité de travailler indépendamment.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- A complété ou est en train de terminer un programme postsecondaire dans un domaine connexe ou une expérience équivalente.
