Internship - Automation specialist

From designing enterprise architecture to managing operational technology, our teams leverage agile methodology to automate and digitalize our railroad operations, ensuring smooth and safe functioning, allowing our employees to concentrate on value-adding activities.
The integrator plays a vital role in meeting all business and project requirements and contributes to the continuous global advancement of CN's I&T.
Tasks include:
- Manage lab testing requests from stakeholders.
- Ensure the LAB is maintained at industry standard quality levels.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to set up test environments for telecom solutions and devices.
- Assist stakeholders in creating test plans.
- Execute test plans and validate results.
- Stay updated on software and hardware end-of-life status for devices.
Staging:
- Stage telecom devices for field deployment as per stakeholder requests.
- Receive and inventory equipment.
- Ship equipment to the field using the assigned carrier.
- Configure network elements based on project team specifications.
- Engage with Project Managers to plan deployment phases and mitigate risks.
- Analyze project requirements for test/validation strategy determination.
- Collaborate with the Product Management team and Vendors on test tool technology evolution.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant technical experience in the Telecom/IT industry.
- Proficiency in testing and automation tools like IXIA traffic generator and WAN Emulator.
- Assets include technical certifications and leadership skills.
- Must be fluent in French and English.
This role involves working 4 days a week at the Montreal CN headquarters office/LAB for 8 hours/day with potential paid overtime.
