Cascade is looking for a
Program Manager to ensure all project management processes, schedules, budgets, resources, and mitigation plans comply with Cascade processes while meeting the customer's expectations.

This position will provide guidance to lower levels. Reports directly to the Vice President, Programs within the Program Management Office.

This role will be responsible to oversee Cascade's delivery of products, parts and services to Canadian and International customers, noting that duties may be reassigned as required.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Responsible to create, develop and produce the Project Charter, Project Management Plans and other required project artefacts, for new and uncharted projects and/or customers;
  • Interface with customer as the primary point of contact for project execution;
  • Execute projects per the Project Management Plan and ensure that all initiatives have a clear success criteria;
  • Track and manage project tasks, resource assignment, and customer change requests;
  • Ensure ontime and onbudget delivery of all projects and communicate status to clients and management;
  • Provide direction and support to project team members, functional managers and customers;
  • Manage customer expectations in terms of schedule, cost, scope and quality;
  • Provide guidance for production release activities, including impact/risk assessment and sponsor/business communication;
  • Coordinate work with Support Shops and internal departments to ensure assigned projects are progressing smoothly;
  • Oversee multiple projects with competing priorities;
  • Provide oversight to and responsible for professional development of direct reports (Project Mangers, Coordinators or Administrators);
  • Manage the performance and foster employee growth and improvement of staff members through career planning;
  • Accountable for the profit/loss results, billing, direct, and indirect costs for the assigned customer(s) and project(s);
  • Maintain offhour availability;
  • Other duties as required.

  • Skill in the supervision and management of staff
  • Proven ability to present to senior level management
  • Ability to consistently demonstrate excellent initiative and determination
  • Highly skilled with MS Office, emphasis on Microsoft Project and Power Point

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

  • Diploma in Business or Project Management or an equivalent of education, training and experience
  • Background in Aerospace or related industries preferred
  • 5+ years' experience in stringently regulated industry such as Aerospace/Aviation/Military/Government
  • Project Management training either formally trained or by proven onthejob training
