Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations

  • Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
  • Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
  • Organize and supervise shifts
  • Assist General Manager with staff performance appraisals
  • Estimate future needs for goods
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
  • Manage the restaurant's good image and suggest ways to improve it
  • Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
  • Recommend ways to reach a broader audience (e.g. discounts and social media ads)
  • Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices
  • Enforce policies and protocols that will maintain smooth restaurant operations
  • Assist in accomplishing restaurant human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a Food & Beverage Supervisor, Assistant Manager, or a similar role
  • Extensive customer service experience
  • Extensive food and beverage (F&B) knowledge, with the ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and waitstaff
  • Strong leadership and people skills
  • Knowledge of Indian cuisine

Language:
Fluency in English in required. Understanding of Hindi or Punjabi is an asset.
