Creation's Vancouver Business Unit is looking for one Materials Associate - Receiving.

The Materials Associate would be responsible for signing for all incoming material, receiving into the ERP, and communicating issues found during verification process to the respective team, ensuring 5S+1 is practiced at all times.


Your Role:

  • Receive all purchase order materials using Creation's ERP system.
  • Inspect incoming materials according to Engineering specifications utilizing various inspection tools and equipment
  • Receive chemicals as per chemical handling procedures.
  • Ensure full compliance with all applicable quality assurance standards and internal SOPs
  • Process RMA/NCR according to company procedures.
  • Communicate with various departments to deal with material discrepancies.
  • Maintain receiving records.
  • Participate in all 5S + 1 initiatives within the team.
  • Participate in cycle count.
  • Perform procedures related to inventory control.
  • Handle materials exceeding 30 pounds; use equipment such as pallet jacks, Forklift, and other tools and equipment used to handle and move received materials.
  • Ensure all pertinent safety regulations are adhered to with regards to the safe operation and use of all equipment, machinery and handling of materials.
  • File incoming Inspection Quality Records.

What we're looking for:

  • 2 years of experience in shipping/receiving capacity
  • Good communication skills and a strong team player
  • Excellent attention to details and accuracy in data entering
  • Able to work independently or in a team environment
  • Strong organization skills while able to multitask
  • Strong orientation towards safety; WHMIS certification an asset
  • Knowledge of electronic components is an asset
  • Colour identification is a requirement of this role
  • Knowledge of Cross Border Documentation, Commercial Invoices, NAFTA, Waybills and FCC Forms is an asset
  • Able to safely lift materials up to 40 lbs

What you need to know:

  • You need to be legally eligible to work in British Columbia, Canada as fulltime employee
  • Wage: $19.00 per hour plus applicable shift premium ($1.00 for afternoon)
  • Work location: 8999 Fraserton Court, Burnaby, BC V5J 5H8
