Pacific Coastal Airlines (PCA) is looking for a Maintenance Control Planner
This position is based out of a hanger located near South Terminal at the Vancouver International Airport in Richmond.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Control Planner is responsible for ensuring technical dispatch of Company aircraft; Provide continuous tracking of Deferred Defect, and ensure corrective actions are accomplished within approved time limits.

Review Fleet Maintenance tasks forecast and create work packages for all Pacific Coastal maintenance bases and Maintenance Repair Organizations (MROs).


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide continuous tracking of Deferred Defect including MELs, CDLs, to ensure corrective actions are accomplished within approved time limits. Update aircraft MEL, Deferred Defects and CDL status in the maintenance and flight tracking systems to ensure that Operational Control Center (OCC) Dispatch is aware of items that could affect the safe operation of the
  • Forecast, plan and schedule maintenance events for overall fleet plan using Pacific Coastal CMTS This includes:
  • Line operations planning
  • Long term planning
  • Heavy maintenance planning
  • Expedite maintenance and parts requirements while coordinating with Technical Operations personnel and the various support staff to ensure mínimal impact to the aircraft schedule during irregular operations (IROPS), as well as during scheduled and unscheduled
  • Responsible for, scheduling of aircraft, research and requisitioning of parts for the rectification of all Open Defects. Accountable to identify and prioritize all shortterm faults which have the potential to impact daily operations.
  • Initiate call outs for IROPs or incidents. Provide technical assistance for Maintenance, Flight Crews and Operations personnel for daily
  • Liaise with the appropriate personnel to ensure that required manpower, tooling and transportation to recover or repair unserviceable aircraft at an out station is
  • Responsible for providing a daily report of aircraft serviceability as well as operational delays, incidents and cancellations from the previous day's
  • Assist stores for the loaning and borrowing of parts from other operators. Authorized to request and approve purchase orders for goods and services as per Pacific Coastal purchasing
  • Plan and schedule all maintenance events for
  • Ensure technical dispatch of Company aircraft prior to commencing daily
  • Develop and distribute technical instructions, work packages and work
  • Ensure accomplishment of technical work in compliance with MSA (maintenance program).
  • Provide assistance to other Pacific Coastal personnel regarding planning and scheduling as
  • Display knowledge regarding manpower
  • Provide good communication with various teams involved in daily operations and keep them informed of any maintenance
  • Display adequate knowledge of industry practices and understanding of the responsibilities associated with this
  • Complete all duties with the highest level of safety and report and condition or process which may adversely affect
  • Act as a point of contact with senior management during AOG
  • Perform other duties and assignments as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience

  • Hold a valid Transport Canada AME Class M1 and/or M2 license.
  • Pacific Coastal Certification Authority for one (1) or more types of aircraft operated by the Company is a strong asset.
  • Must hold a Radio License Industry Canada Radio (Aeronautical) Certificate.
  • Minimum five (5) years' experience in maintenance of transport category aircraft.

  • Excellent organizational, planning, time management and multitasking skills
  • Effective and efficient decision making
  • Knowledge of the Transport Canada Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) requirements
  • Awareness of industry best practice as well as businessrelated trends, advances and improvements and understanding of the responsibilities associated with this position
  • Intermediate technical skills in Microsoft Office
