Education: Satisfactory completion of AMA accredited program. Registered in related specialty preferred.

Experience: Advanced degree in health care education, college courses, or workshops in management or human relations preferred. Demonstrated skills in continued quality improvement along with excellent interpersonal skills. Two years staff experience in related field preferred.

Other Requirements: ARRT Certification. Current certification with State of Florida Radiation Control (HRS). CPR certification.

Responsibilities:

Supervises the daily operation of assigned section for the efficient delivery of radiological services to patients. Coordinates the patient flow in accordance with departmental policy. Schedules support staff in an effective and efficient manner. Directs quality assurance and ensures that quality control standards are maintained according to department protocol. Maintains appropriate communication with radiology director, manager, and other lead technologists. Maintains a thorough working knowledge of the operation of all equipment and current developments relating to assigned area. Demonstrates competence in the performance of technologist duties in assigned area.. Ensures compliance with accreditation/certification standards, overseeing all aspects of assigned area. Promotes department and Clinic policies and procedures and ensures staff compliance. Prepares new/revises existing section policies and procedures. Interviews, hires, evaluates, and trains staff as required. Counsels support staff effectively and adheres to Clinic corrective action policy. Maintains a professional and positive manner in times of stress.
