OVERVIEW

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

• Sc. or M.Sc. in Hydrogeology or related physical science field of study
• Memberintraining (or eligible) with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (or equivalent)
• 12 years project experience in hydrogeology, direct experience in Alberta is considered as asset
• Inherent knowledge regarding processes and components of hydrogeology
• Ability to multitask several projects, including field program coordination, materials and equipment procurement, and data management

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct groundwater monitoring and sampling programs
• Conduct single well response tests, and aquifer pumping tests
• Assist/lead in borehole drilling, lithology logging, and groundwater monitoring well installation programs
• Hydrogeological data analysis and interpretation in support of technical report preparation
• Support preparation of proposals, scope development, and cost estimates
• Willingness to travel and participate in field work, primarily within western Canada and the ability to adapt to unpredictable and/or inclement field conditions and changing schedules
• Conduct work/projects in line with Vertex's Health and Safety standards
• Other related duties

LOCATION

This position will be based out of our Sherwood Park office, located at 2055 Premier Way, or our Calgary office located at 4240 Blackfoot Trail SE.
