Cybera, Alberta's not-for-profit technology accelerator, is looking for a cybersecurity project manager in Calgary with product development experience to join the team.

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with strong core skills in scrum who is adept at working with virtual teams.

The workload is highly dynamic and consequently, the project manager must possess great flexibility and be able to meet tight deadlines under short notice.

Responsibilities:


The individual will be responsible for managing a diverse array of cybersecurity projects as well as relationships with external stakeholders.


Must have skills and experience:

  • Experience providing technical oversight and management of programspecific IT projects and infrastructure.
  • Manage complex, crossfunctional technology programs, which include budgeting, determining objectives, planning and execution of the program, project, or service, operations management, reporting, and business analysis.
  • Product development experience.
  • Experience completing business analyst functions such as requirements gathering, etc.
  • A forward thinker that takes ownership of the project.
  • A strong affinity for technology and learning new technology quickly.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to be able to effectively interact with and present to internal departments, governments, funders, and project sponsors and partners.
  • Strong sense of accountability, transparency and initiative.
  • Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a rapidlyevolving environment.
  • Forwardthinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions.
  • Able to prioritize and manage time efficiently.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A minimum of 35 years experience as a project manager.

Nice to have skills and experience:

  • Experience managing cybersecurity projects.
  • Experience writing proposals.
  • Experience working in a scrum environment as a Product Owner.
  • PMP certification or in progress.

Compensation and Location:
This position is based in either our Calgary or Edmonton office. Salary will be commensurate with experience. No relocation costs will be awarded.
