License Compliance Manager

Location:
Vancouver or anywhere in North America

We are seeking an experienced License Compliance Manager to join Activestate with a focus on compliance related activity along with the ActiveState Account Management and Account Executive team.

This position will be responsible for client compliance management of our subscription model, who are not in compliance with their current license agreements.

This position can be based out of our headquarters in beautiful Vancouver, BC or from home anywhere in North America.


About the Position

We're looking for those who have experience in working directly with customers on subscription models, terms of use, negotiation, and resolution.

You'll be instrumental in driving growth in existing and new accounts, uncovering non-compliant customers along with retention efforts to a range of large enterprise customers.


About You

As a License Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, investigating and qualifying new compliance opportunities from identification through resolution.

You understand the nature of complex structures of large enterprise accounts, you create win-win opportunities, and can navigate your way around to identify the appropriate contacts for compliance resolution.

You love the thrill of arm-wrestling and negotiating with legal and procurement teams. You are ambitious, persistent, collaborative, curious by nature, and a learner.

Responsibilities

  • Uncover clients, both current and potential, who are using our products in noncompliant ways
  • Use your honed negotiation skills to bring clients into compliance and work with Account Management and Account Executive team to offer additional value while in the resolution process
  • Utilize retention strategies to retain existing customers while negotiating resolution
  • Prepare and present subscription and compliance data to customers
  • 5+ year of experience in compliance and negotiating compliance resolutions
  • Excel at negotiating and armwrestling with procurement teams
  • Experience dealing with legal teams internally and externally
  • Bachelor's degree, college diploma in sales/marketing or other field of study or equivalent experience
  • Goal

  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication

  • Teamwork: Effectively communicate with Account Management and Account Executive team
  • Believes in resourcefulness over resources: Able to find solutions even when all the facts and/or alternatives are not fully known
