Global Technology Services (GTS)

GTS is one of the foundational divisions of the TMX Group, empowering internal TMX business lines for their technology needs, operations, and digital innovation.

Leveraging DevOps has become necessary and key to delivering on GTS' promise to be a technology-driven solutions provider that puts clients first.

The DevOps Engineering team works closely with various business units and stakeholders to solve complex problems using innovative solutions, quickly and effectively using agile, lean, and DevOps methodologies, while ensuring infrastructure remains highly available, secure, and optimized for speed and cost.

Reporting to DevOps Lead, Level 2 Support, you will be responsible for planning and executing non-functional and functional tests to ensure DevOps release minimum quality.

You are expected to be strongly oriented toward automation and to contribute to the DevOps release pipeline.

Your role also includes level 2 support to investigate potential issues reported by the technical help desk or other business operation groups and determine ways to prevent system availability disruption.

You are responsible for the triage and follow-up of incoming service requests for DevOps.
You are expected to promptly respond to resolve any issues and follow automation practices of the DevOps Team.

You must be able to interact with multiple Agile Squads and Infrastructure teams, while having a positive influence on the team.

Participate in the level 2, 24/7 production support for critically important systems by assuming a role in the on-call rotation
# Troubleshoot and provide support for all controlled environments
# Ensure that application support is in compliance with GTS and all Information Security Standards
# Maintain the DevOps pipeline and respond to requests for lower region environments (Development, QA, etc.)

3-5+ years' experience in quality assurance
~3-5+ years' experience with Bash, Python, JavaScript, and Perl
~ Knowledge of trading, clearing, and market data feeds
~ Good knowledge of Linux and Windows OS
~ Knowledge of Ansible, Jenkins, or other CI tools, containerization (Kubernetes, Docker/Podman), Jira, Bitbucket (GIT), Confluence, Splunk, Nagios, and ServiceNow
~ Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, and/or equivalent work experience
~ Fluency in French and English (spoken and written) is essential for this position, as it involves dealing with external and internal partners who communicate mainly in English
