If you are a skilled paint technician or auditor with a keen eye for detail and a desire to succeed in a fast paced environment, we are looking for you to join our Operations team as a Vehicle Auditor.

Reporting directly into the Inspection Manager, your role will involve validating painted vehicle panels and assemblies against defined acceptance criteria and performing paint rework where required.

You'll have the opportunity to use and enhance your skills and knowledge of paint and inspection processes and equipment whilst acting as the main quality gateway for product exiting the MNVE paint and assembly process.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspection and sign off for painted panels and assemblies
  • Management of any required rework and validation of acceptable repair
  • Management of product movement within inspection area
  • Accurate completion of quality records
  • Work with Quality Engineering personnel to ensure the prompt disposition of nonconforming product.
  • Ownership of identification of product status activity
  • Work with the Quality and Operations team to collaboratively achieve customer standards
  • Ensure Inspection facility cleanliness standards are maintained at all times

Skills:

  • Good understanding of automotive paint process
  • Knowledge of carbon fibre and paint quality standards, inspection methods and equipment
  • Ability to rework minor paint defects
  • Ability to read and understand 2D drawings
  • Understanding of Health and Safety practices
  • Ability to record data effectively
  • Previous experience with Polyworks and JT2Go software packages would be beneficial
