Join our dynamic IT team as an IT Support Technician with a focus on cybersecurity. We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented individual to ensure our technological infrastructure is secure and efficiently supports our internal operations.

Job Description

As an IT Support Technician, you will play a key role in offering technical support and cybersecurity expertise to boost our internal network and systems security. You'll collaborate closely with various departments to troubleshoot, maintain, and fortify our IT infrastructure, creating a safe and productive environment for all employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide IT support to internal departments, addressing hardware and software issues with minimal downtime.
  • Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures to safeguard systems, networks, and data.
  • Assist in configuring and maintaining network hardware and software, emphasizing security.
  • Collaborate with IT team members for security audits and risk assessments.
  • Create and maintain documentation on IT support processes, cybersecurity protocols, and user guides.
  • Educate staff on cybersecurity best practices and new security technologies.
  • Stay updated on security systems and threats to improve security measures continuously.
  • Generate reports for stakeholders, aiding strategic decision-making and operational enhancements.
  • Offer in-person and virtual IT support across various sites, ensuring consistent support.
  • Occasional travel may be necessary for on-site support, with transportation arrangements provided.
  • Occasionally work after-hours to tackle system outages or introduce new systems.
  • Support Development Team on projects aiding growth across CareKW locations.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Windows OS, Office 365, and Azure.
  • Experience with Mobile Device Management tools and endpoint security.
  • Skills in network hardware configuration and diagnosing network issues.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure hardening techniques and cybersecurity measures.

Required Skills:

  • 1-3 years of IT and cybersecurity experience.
  • Helpdesk experience is an asset.
  • Network administration experience is a strong asset.
  • Valid driver's license required for potential travel.
