Job Description:

SCHEDULE: This is an afternoon shift position
RESPONSIBLITIES and ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform spot welding based on prescribed weld recipes and perform heat shrink and operation of the tunnel and tap, drill and pneumatic pemserter press.
  • Coordinate work by jobs, ensure work flows smoothly.
Process work orders on dispatch through Systems Applications and Product (SAP) system or as required/instructed. Conduct Checkdocheck process and complete daily reports. Troubleshoot any quality issues and proactively identify solutions. Set up and operate hoist and cranes and a variety of deburring equipment (hand sanders, strip sander, finishing mills etc.). Grind and buff any imperfections. Accurately report task and times in Factory Talk Production Centre (FTPC) related to work orders and Critical to Quality (CTQ's). Flexibility and adaptability to assume other roles and support other job families as required. May be required to assist, instruct and provide training to other employees. Participates in activities to increase job knowledge, including required training and certifications, job rotation programs and training and coaching of other employees. Participate in Behavioural Based Safety Training and contribute to the program. Participate in LEAN/Six Sigma Training and contribute to and make recommendations for process improvements and LEAN activities. Performs work in accordance with job specific training procedures, follows work aids (DWIs, prints etc.,) and produces work that consistently meets quality standards. Ensure tasks are conducted in accordance with applicable employment, environmental, health, safety, quality, and legislation and or regulations (federal, provincial, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, etc.), as well as Rockwell Automation policies and procedures, 5S requirements and standards of business conduct. Creates an optimal work environment by establishing and maintaining positive and respectful work relationships. All other duties as required and assigned by supervision. Level 1: Entry Level, High School Education/GED PREREQUISITE:
