Your Role at Baxter

Baxter is renowned for its efficiency and top-notch products. Our manufacturing facilities operate round-the-clock to meet customer demands. We are currently seeking energetic, dedicated Filling Operators for Permanent Part-Time roles on our Weekend shift (Saturday and Sunday 7:00-19:00) at our Alliston facility. The starting wage is $25.40 per hour with an additional $2.00 per hour shift premium. We provide an Employee Stock Purchasing Plan, a Defined Contribution Pension Plan, and medical/dental benefits starting on your first day.

The following are the dress/gowning requirements: safety glasses, safety shoes, earplugs, jumpsuit, hood, hairnet, beard cover, gloves, isolation mask, and boots (additional PPE necessary for cleaning)

Regular or periodic exposure to high noise levels

Involves working around equipment, machinery, and conveyor belts

What You'll Be Doing

The Filling Operator is responsible for the following rotating duties on the production line: Visual inspection of IV bag assembly, filling IV solution in various bag sizes, placing bags into protective overwrap, loading bags onto sterilizer trays.

Duties to be carried out on a rotational basis

Utilizing scales to weigh filled bags at specified intervals to ensure correct fill volume.

Inspecting each filled bag assembly visually for accurate fill volume, air volume, code number, expiration date, lot number, and other quality attributes. Retrieving filled bag assembly from the conveyor, positioning the bag in the specified overwrap.

Loading overwrapped bags into the sealing machine.

Placing sealed overwrapped assemblies onto sterilizer trucks, ensuring the correct number of samples and proper positioning.

Conducting necessary inspections, including quality checks throughout each production step.

Documenting the count of rejects and reworking bags when necessary.

Duties to be performed continuously or periodically

Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)

Notifying the supervisor and taking appropriate action in case of safety, quality, mechanical, or other discrepancies

Maintaining a clean and safe workspace by following 6S principles

What You'll Bring

Completion of high school diploma or GED is required (proof will be requested)

Successful completion of an ergonomic assessment to ensure the ability to perform essential job duties

Experience in handling repetitive tasks

Manufacturing/Quality experience in a GMP-regulated environment

Background in the food or manufacturing industry

Prior experience in a fast-paced setting (experience in an assembly line environment is preferred)

Availability to work on weekends

A positive attitude, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment focusing on quality assurance and meticulous attention to detail.
