Varied rotating shifts:
evenings, weekends, overnights, and holidays

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • This position involves working in a supportedliving setting a 24/7 site providing support to adults with developmental disabilities
  • Provide a safe and supportive environment for participants
  • Ensure that the individual needs of people are met on a daily basis (medical, personal, physical, financial, hygienic, social, recreational, emotional, developmental) in compliance with legislated requirements and company policies and procedures

Qualifications:

  • Postsecondary education in Human, Health, and/or Social Services (e.g., DSW, PSW, SSW)
  • Minimum six (6) months of related experience supporting people with developmental disabilities in short
- or long-term living settings

  • Demonstrated understanding of support requirements specific to the roles and responsibilities of the job
  • Proficiency in both verbal and written communication
  • Strong organization, communication, and problemsolving skills, in addition to attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the team, and independently as necessary
  • Capacity to establish, implement, and maintain professional, and personal boundaries
  • Multilingualism and having diverse lived experiences are considered assets
  • Valid Class G (full) Driver's License with a 3year Uncertified Driver Record (mandatory)
  • Current (within 3 months) satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (mandatory)
  • Physical Health assessment: verification of uptodate immunizations, COVID vaccination status (2 doses), and ability to meet the physical requirements of the position (mandatory)
  • Current Standard First Aid & CPR (mandatory) *Level C with AED training preferred
