In this role you will: Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. Strategic Project Leadership Develop a clear strategic vision for the project, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives; propose innovative approaches to project execution, applying creative problem-solving. Oversees and support large-scale, multidisciplinary, project teams Contributes to the execution of the bank's strategy through strategic project and program management and subject matter expertise Stakeholder Management Builds and maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives; influences senior leadership to support project approach and methodology Acts as an intermediary between cross-functional working teams and executive leadership Own integrated project plan, status reporting/meetings, and issue and risk management for the integrated project (identify, document, support/develop resolutions and mitigations), and appropriately communicate same to program leadership within the documented governance structure, reporting process and escalation protocol. Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. Actively pursue effective and efficient operations in accordance with Scotiabank's values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk. Contributes to a high-performing, inclusive work environment.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:

Project management certification (preferred) and 5+ years business/PM experience Expert familiarity with Project management disciplines and tools 5+ years running increasingly complex projects, preferably with experience in multi-year, strategic, transformational initiatives Exceptional ability to manage and influence at the senior leadership (VP+) level Excellent organizational skills, relationship management, communication, and problem solving Comfortable with ambiguity and working in high-pressure environment with rapidly changing deadlines Strong decision making skills; able to make informed decisions swiftly, considering the project's strategic impact. Must be proactive, self-starter and capable of learning new ways of doing things Capable of moving forward through complex situations Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with project stakeholders including senior leadership Strong knowledge of the Bank, or FIs is preferred
