The LDB is one of two branches of government responsible for the cannabis and liquor industry of B.C.

We operate the wholesale distribution of beverage alcohol and non-medical cannabis within the province, as well as the household retail brands of BC Liquor Stores and BC Cannabis Stores.

Corporate Operations at the BCLDB includes our Corporate Loss Prevention, Construction and Facilities and Leasing departments.

Construction and Facilities department manages all activities related to the construction, renovation, and facilities management of all new and existing LDB facilities, included head office, distribution centres, and all BC Liquor and BC Cannabis retail locations.

The Leasing department manages all activities related to leasing of all new and existing LDB facilities, included head office, distribution centres, and all BC Liquor and BC Cannabis retail locations.

The Corporate Loss Prevention department ensures the security of all BCLDB assets through physical security management as well as an investigative team.


Reporting to the Assistant Supervisor, Merchandise and Dry Goods, the Merchandise and Dry Goods Coordinator assists the Facilities Manager in maintaining the inventory control of shelving, fixtures, equipment and dry goods and marketing material in approximately 198 government liquor stores and 39 cannabis stores located throughout the province of BC.

This includes the shipping and receiving of all dry good items (including but not limited to store shelving, fixtures, equipment, computers, material handling equipment, fax machines, cash registers, merchandising articles, forms, etc.) by receiving, checking, assembling, distributing and tracking.


Working Conditions include the following:

  • Warehouse environment.
  • Working with hand tools, electric tools, forklifts and pallet movers.
  • Travel throughout the province may be required.
  • Lifting or moving up to 45lbs. frequently and on occasion more, with the help of others and or equipment.
A criminal record check is required.

Position Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • A minimum of two (2) years recent, related experience* in shipping and receiving, preferably in a distribution/warehouse environment.
  • Recent, related experience must have occurred in the last five (5) years and include the following
  • Experience in administrative and coordination tasks, working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Mobile Equipment Certification required on standup forklift, sit down forklift, rideon pallet mover, "walkie" pallet mover.
