About the Opportunity
  • Contribute to the timely and accurate preparation and review of annual and quarterly financial statements and MD&A under IFRS to ensure compliance with U.S. SEC regulations and filings
  • Conduct technical accounting research and prepare documentation; communicate and collaborate with the business and FP&A to understand the accounting and impact
  • Monitor and interpret new accounting standards and SEC regulations, including those related to sustainability reporting, and assess the impact to the Company; maintain appropriate documentation and lead the implementation and execution of such new standards
  • Coordinate with external auditors and prepare information to support the global consolidated audit, interim reviews and SOX testing
  • Lead the accounting of certain areas such as lease accounting, purchase accounting over business combinations, monthly regional close
  • Work closely with our global regional finance teams to guide and support local compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and review statutory financial statements
  • Partner with FP&A, Tax, Accounting Operations, Investor Relations, Treasury, Internal Audit, and other cross functional groups to achieve objectives
  • Recommend and streamline processes and initiate improvements where necessary
  • Support and enhance internal controls across global finance organization
  • Ad hoc work as required to ensure the success of the broader organization
About You
  • CPA designation in good standing
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting and reporting
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS required
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced excel skills
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Workday) an asset
  • Experience in a global business environment adhering to multiple stakeholders is an asset
Salary Range
$110,000 - $130,000/year
