About the Opportunity
Financial Accounting and Management Reporting:
  • Ensure transactions comply with policies, procedures, and GAAP
  • Prepare department journal entries (inventory adjustments, accruals, other adjustments)
  • Maintain and ensure integrity of financial data, including the general ledger
  • Verify accuracy and completeness of financial records (billings, coding, PO’s, invoices, contractor payments)
  • Assist with external and internal audit requirements
  • Review and approve vendor payments
Budgeting, Forecasting, and Financial Analysis:
  • Assist in preparing forecasts and the annual budget
  • Complete variance and Member spending analyses
  • Liaise with departments on financials, processes, and projects
Finance Business Partner Responsibilities:
  • Enhance the impact and understanding of financial reporting on performance
  • Provide analysis linking financial reports to business strategies
  • Implement procedures or changes to meet key financial targets
  • Build partnerships with senior managers and their teams
Process Improvements:
  • Recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and internal controls
General and Other:
  • Support the Assistant Controller as needed
  • Document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen controls
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis to support business initiatives
  • Uphold the Club’s best interests for Members and Guests
  • Report IT system performance or integrity issues
  • Attend required meetings

About You
  • University degree and CGA, CPA designation
  • Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PPT) and a proficiency in general accounting knowledge
  • Hospitality industry experience is an asset
  • Previous inventory count experience
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and planning abilities
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in reporting/analysis
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively

Salary Range
$80,000/year

  • the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
