GFL Environmental is currently seeking to add safe and talented DZ Drivers to our growing team out of St. Thomas, Ontario location. We are dedicated to providing a safe and positive workplace to all of our employees.

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

  • Valid DZ license, clean drivers abstract and CVOR

  • Must be physically fit to be successful in the position

  • Able to work Saturdays when required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and transport residential recycling to designated sites in an efficient and appropriate manner in all weather conditions

  • Recycling receptacles that are emptied into the collection vehicle must be placed back on the resident’s property, flipped upside down at the curb, in the same place that they were removed from.

  • Recycling containers can weigh up to 30 lbs. and need to be lifted from the ground up approximately 3 feet into the hopper

  • You will be required to make in excess of 900 residential stops per day.

  • Adhere to the collection and delivery schedule while following all relevant policies and procedures of the Company, the MTO, Ministry of Environment as well as the by-laws of the Municipality in which you are working.

Starting Pay Rate: $24.01 per hour plus benefits.


Start Time: 6:30 am Tuesday - Friday (guaranteed 38-40 hours/week)
