Senior Claims Advocate

Marsh is seeking a senior claims advocacy professional to join our Montreal Claims Team.
Marsh is willing to consider residency in various jurisdictions across Eastern Canada. Â
The Senior Claims Advocate is responsible for facilitating loss management within the defined operational parameters of the claims team to ensure the prompt and equitable resolution of client claims. Â
Reporting directly to the Eastern Claims Leader, this position requires a professional with substantial experience in client claims advocacy, insurer claim examination and or third party claim adjusting. Â
This individual will be technically focused and able to drive initiatives to handle complex claims across multiple lines of insurance. Â
In-depth knowledge of Insurance Markets and their claim resolution procedures is a requirement for this hire

We will count on you to:
Having ownership of hands-on active claim management, coverage reviews, problem solving and settlement strategies for clients.
Analyzing loss details to determine appropriate policies and coverage.
Driving the claims process for clients through participation in claims strategy discussions in order to ensure progress and equitable resolution.
Interacting closely with internal Client Executives and Claims Advocacy colleagues to better the claim experience for clients.
Having a strong focus on clients and providing value-add claim services
Working closely with internal and external leadership groups to foster understanding of how to mitigate Marsh risk by closing claims optimally.
Providing support to Broking teams by participating in the creation of client specific claim protocols.
Monitoring insurer responses to reported claims and engaging with insurers and their professional advisers in order to support the expeditious and smooth resolution of claims.
Liaising and working closely with other claims team members to develop claim management best practice.
Drafting communication to clients and/or insurers and reviewing documents prepared by the clients, in order to support the claims process.
Building relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally.
Providing technical claim assistance, leadership and mentoring to colleagues.
What you need to have:Â
Minimum 7 yearsâ experience in a commercial claims environment either at the adjustor, carrier, legal or brokerage level
University degree or College certification
CIP, CAIB, CRM, LL.B, all assets
In-depth understanding of relevant insurance law and claim litigation procedures
Direct involvement with large, complex, casualty and property losses
Strong carrier relationships and detailed knowledge of insurance market claim procedures
Claim Adjusting license (AMF)
Perfectly bilingual, spoken and written ( French and English)

Consultant Senior au Service des sinistre
à quoi pouvez-vous vous attendre?
- Marsh est à la recherche dâun consultant en réclamation sénior pour son équipe du département des réclamations de Montréal.
- Le candidat pourrait être basé dans une autre province de lâEst du Canada. Â
- Le consultant doit faciliter la gestion des sinistres en fonction des paramètres opérationnels définis de lâéquipe du service des réclamations afin que les clients obtiennent un règlement équitable rapidement. Â
- Le candidat relève directement du Directeur du département des réclamations de lâEst du Canada et doit posséder une expérience considérable en traitement des demandes de règlements des clients, en examen des demandes de règlements pour les assureurs, ou encore à titre dâexpert en sinistres pour des tiers. Â
- Le candidat doit mettre lâaccent sur lâaspect technique et diriger des initiatives visant à gérer des demandes de règlement complexes pour différentes branches dâassurance. Â
- Le candidat doit posséder des connaissances approfondies des marchés de lâassurance et des procédures en matière de réclamation dans toutes les lignes de risque.

Voici ce que nous attendons de vous :
- Prendre part à la gestion des réclamations, à lâanalyse des couvertures, à la résolution de problèmes et aux stratégies de règlement pour et avec les clients.
- Analyser les détails du sinistre afin de déterminer les polices et les protections appropriées.
- Diriger le processus de réclamation pour les clients en participant aux discussions sur la stratégie à cet égard, afin de faire évoluer le dossier et de résoudre la demande de façon équitable.
- Interagir étroitement avec les équipes clients internes et les autres consultants en réclamations afin dâaméliorer lâexpérience client en matière de demandes de règlement.
- Ãtre fortement orienté vers la satisfaction des clients et proposer une valeur ajoutée en matière de réclamation.
- Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les groupes de direction internes et externes pour quâils comprennent mieux comment clôturer les réclamations rapidement et ainsi réduire les risques pour Marsh.
- Venir en aide aux équipes du courtage en prenant part à lâélaboration de protocoles de gestion de réclamation pour nos clients
- Surveiller les réponses des assureurs à lâégard des réclamations rapportées et communiquer avec les assureurs et leurs réviseurs et autres professionnels afin de favoriser une résolution rapide et harmonieuse des réclamations.
- Assurer la liaison et travailler en étroite collaboration avec les autres membres de lâéquipe du service de lâindemnisation afin dâélaborer des pratiques exemplaires en matière de gestion des réclamations.
- Rédiger des communications à lâintention des clients et/ou des assureurs et passer en revue les documents préparés par les clients, afin de faciliter le processus des réclamations.
- Ãtablir des relations avec les principales parties prenantes, tant à lâinterne quâà lâexterne.
- Fournir des services dâassistance technique en matière de réclamation, ainsi que de lâencadrement pour les collègues tout en faisant preuve de leadership.
Compétences recherchées :Â
- Licence dâexpertise en règlement de sinistres (AMF)
- Au moins 7 ans dâexpérience en réclamation dâassurance des entreprises, soit en tant quâexpert en sinistres, fournisseurs, ou membre dâune équipe juridique ou de courtage.
- Diplôme universitaire ou certification dâétudes supérieures
- Titre de PAA, de CRM ou LL.B, sont tous des atouts
- Compréhension approfondie du droit des assurances et des procédures de règlement des sinistres
- Participation directe à des dossiers de demandes de règlement importants et complexes en matière dâassurance de dommages et de biens
- Relations étroites avec les assureurs et connaissance détaillée des procédures de demande de règlement dans le marché de lâassurance
- Parfaitement bilingue, Oral et écrit (français et anglais)
