The Role:

The focus of this role is to plan, build, and execute the verification of new and existing features for AMD’s graphics processor IP, resulting in no bugs in the final design.  

Key Responsibilities:

Defining and executing validation strategies, enablement of features and unit test plansPublishing and aligning test plan requirements and dependencies Working closely with supporting teams such as design, diagnostics, driver, and project leadership Isolation and debug of issues found in Graphics IP during pre-silicon, bring-up, validation, and production phases of SCBU productsLead cross-functional technical discussions to drive root cause identification and resolution on technical issuesDriving and participating in technical innovations to enhance AMD’s validation capabilities in Graphics IP, including tool and script developments, technical and methodology enhancements

Requirements:

Minimum 5-6 years of experience in post-silicon validationDemonstrated ability to grasp new technical concepts quicklyUnderstanding of Graphics pipelineStrong programming/scripting skills (eg. Python, C/C++, Ruby)Experience with IP/System level bring-up, SOC debug techniques and methodologiesStrong analytical/problem solving skills and pronounced attention to detailsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsSelf-starter, strong collaborator, and able to independently drive tasks to completionStrong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple issues at the same timeStrong understanding of BIOS, OS, and driver-level interactions and common failure pointsIn-depth knowledge of SOC architecture and conceptsExperience with common lab equipment, computer hardware, and networksExperience in pre-silicon emulation and debugLed process improvement initiatives to improve engineering qualityStrong technical leadership and mentoring skillsKnowledge of Graphics IP power management features

Education:

Bachelor, Master's degree in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering, or related degrees
