Job Title: Project Expeditor
Location: Redwater, AB
Schedule: 9/80
Contract length: 12+ months.
Anticipated Start date: ASAP

Purpose:
As a member of our client’s TA group, the Expeditor will provide a professional expediting service for all Turnaround and Project related items.

Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for all expediting activities to ensure the timely delivery of material, equipment, drawings and any other related items.
• Maintain schedule and milestones for procurement deliverables and update and report findings to SCM Buyer and Project team.
• Act as liaison between vendors and client with regards to vendor clarifications (technical and commercial) received and expedited internally.
• Maintain accurate and auditable records.
• Update and publish expediting reports.
• Interfacing with project and supplier personnel to assist in the resolution of delivery problems.
• Evaluating supplier performance as related to deliveries.
• Establishing and maintaining regular contact with all suppliers to obtain reliable information on the status of materials, drawings, and documentation.
• Contribute to project progress measurement reports as required.
• Tracing shipments from departure to arrival to avoid transportation delays.
• Analyze and resolve project specific issues as they relate to expediting activity.
• Vendor site visits if required.
• Securing and validating the information that supports the timely processing of invoices for payment.
• Dedication to safety and performance management across business unit.
• Building and sustaining outstanding customer relationships.
• Works under general supervision; performance subject to periodic review to ensure conformity to administrative objectives.

Technical and Industry Experience:
• At least 5 years’ experience in expediting general material and engineered equipment, preferably in a capital project environment.
• Proficient in the use of computers and commonly used business software MS Office and ERP systems (Maximo, BI, etc.).
• Will have demonstrated in their previous experience in a fast-paced office setting.
• Thrive in an environment where change, learning and new challenges are embraced with enthusiasm.
• They will use their excellent verbal and written communications skills to interact effectively with internal clients and external vendors.
• Ability to deal with competing priorities and manage time appropriately.
• Strong analytical skill and innovative problem-solving skills.
• They must be a strong team player, that they have an aptitude to produce accurate, detail oriented.
