Illustrated Parts Catalog Editor

Based in Sudbury, ON and reporting to the Technical Publications Supervisor, the Illustrated Parts Catalogue Editor will work as part of the Underground Hard Rock technical publications teams to update, maintain and publish product parts manuals. This position contributes to aftermarket sales by providing timely and accurate access to parts information.

• Create, maintain, update, and publish parts manuals.
• Create parts illustrations from engineering drawings from models using Adobe Illustrator and other creative suit software.
• Maintain, update, and import bill of materials into Publisher system and online platform.
• Gather vendor parts breakdown and create parts pages for purchased items.
• Read and track ECNs issued from engineering and make the required changes in the parts manual as applicable.

• Technical certification or diploma in mechanical or electrical fields including Technologist, Engineer or Technical Writer; 
• Experience with mobile industrial equipment considered an asset; 
• Knowledge of 3D animation, graphic design principles, HTML/programming, database functions are all beneficial; Experience in SolidWorks considered an asset.
• Good understanding of engineering drawings with ability to read and interpret equipment schematics
