POSITION DESCRIPTION:

 

Our World-class Service team is committed to train and provide all the necessary certifications. The incumbent is required to visit on-site customers & work in our workshop.

 

Primarily responsibilities are to inspect, service and repair industrial and safety products such as self-contained breathing apparatus, gas monitor units, torque wrenches, chain hoists and other safety lifting devices in accordance with manufacturing standards and Grainger Services procedures. With our various wealth of products, our team members can specialize in various industries & verticals.

 

 

 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Prepares estimates for repair or service on authorized work orders
  • Due to the nature of this role, bilingualism (English and French) is a requirement 
  • Review plans/schematics and specifications to determine required materials and/or sequence of repairs.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot main equipment issues in a quick turnaround time
  • Tests equipment to confirm operating performance and completes required documentation
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools-Toolbox
  • Maintain Parts inventory and work area in an orderly fashion
  • Ability to work in a shop and customer-facing during on-site and office visits.
  • Actively participate and contribute to safety meetings
  • Actively support Company principles by encouraging team to suggest new ideas, be accountable for actions, work as a team and keep abreast of new products and opportunities
  • Observe safety policies and procedures of Occupational Health & Safety Act and any other pertinent legislation governing applicable
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be required

 

 

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Completion of High School Diploma
  • Additional training or education in technical or business-related fields is preferred.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitasks and handle various priorities
  • Required to obtain 2 designated manufacturer certifications within 1st year of employment
  • Mechanically inclined & experience in mechanical aptitude is preferred
  • Self-motivator, autonomous and resourceful
  • Good mathematical proficiency
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability and desire to work in a team environment
  • Proven ability to work with various computer programs
  • Valid driver’s license, on the road requirements (Company truck available)
  • Valid passport & ability to travel to United States for training, certification purposes

 

 

 

DESCRIPTION

 

Notre équipe de service de classe mondiale s'engage à former et à fournir toutes les certifications nécessaires. Le titulaire est tenu de visiter les clients sur place et de travailler dans notre atelier à Anjou, Montréal.

Les principales responsabilités consistent à inspecter, entretenir et réparer les produits industriels et de sécurité tels que les appareils respiratoires autonomes, les détecteurs de gaz, les clés dynamométriques, les palans à chaîne et autres dispositifs de levage de sécurité conformément aux normes de fabrication et aux procédures de services de Grainger. Grâce à notre diversité de produits, les membres de notre équipe peuvent se spécialiser dans diverses industries et verticales.

 

PRINCIPALES FONCTIONS ET RESPONSABILITÉS

 

  • Préparer les devis pour la réparation ou le service sur les bons de travail autorisés
  • Examiner les plans / schémas et les spécifications pour déterminer les matériaux requis et / ou la séquence des réparations.
  • Identifier et déterminer les principaux problèmes d'équipement dans un délai d'exécution rapide
  • Tester l'équipement pour confirmer les performances de fonctionnement et compléter la documentation requise
  • Utiliser une variété d'outils manuels et électriques - coffre à outils
  • Maintenir l'inventaire des pièces et la zone de travail de manière ordonnée
  • Capacité à travailler dans un atelier et à être en contact avec les clients lors des visites sur place et au bureau.
  • Participer activement et contribuer aux réunions de sécurité
  • Soutenir activement les principes de l'entreprise en encourageant l'équipe à suggérer de nouvelles idées, à être responsable des actions, à travailler en équipe et à se tenir au courant des nouveaux produits et opportunités
  • Observer les politiques et procédures de sécurité de la loi sur la santé et la sécurité au travail et toute autre législation pertinente applicables.

EXPÉRIENCE ET COMPÉTENCES

 

  • Diplôme d'études secondaires
  • En raison de la nature de ce poste, le bilinguisme (anglais et français) est obligatoire
  • Une formation ou une éducation supplémentaire dans des domaines techniques ou commerciaux est préférable.
  • Excellentes compétences en gestion du temps et capacité à effectuer plusieurs tâches et gérer diverses priorités
  • Obligation d'obtenir 2 certifications de fabricant désigné dans la 1ère année d'emploi
  • Inclinaison mécanique et une expérience en aptitude mécanique est préférable
  • Auto-motivateur, autonome et débrouillard
  • Bonne maîtrise des mathématiques
  • Capacité de soulever jusqu'à 50 lb.
  • Capacité et désir de travailler en équipe
  • Aptitude avérée à travailler avec divers programmes informatiques
  • Permis de conduire valide, sur les exigences de la route (camion de l'entreprise disponible)
  • Passeport valide et possibilité de voyager aux États-Unis pour une formation, à des fins de certification

 

This role may require you to adhere to safety requirements in accordance with applicable health and safety legislation, as it relates to wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) on certain customer sites.

This may include: a hard hat; steel-toed safety boots, clean shaven or trimmed moustache/beard in order to wear a close-fitted N95 mask or other required PPE. Details of these requirements will be provided during the recruitment process.
