ABA Instructor Therapist

Instructor Therapist without RBT designation pay range: $25-30 Instructor Therapist with RBT designation pay range: $27-35
Side by Side Therapy is currently looking for skilled individuals to fill contract Instructor Therapist positions in Toronto. Instructor Therapists will work one-on-one with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (or other developmental disabilities) in the children's home while employing Applied Behaviour Analysis (IBI/ ABA) teaching strategies as directed by a Senior Therapist and BCBA. Successful candidates must collaborate with other team members in the consistent implementation of a student's behavior reduction and skill acquisition programs, maintain regular communication with parents, and participate in scheduled team meetings and training conferences as required.
Implementing client-specific ABA techniques and programming as instructed by the Senior Therapist and BCBA.
Delivering direct service in either the client's home or a community setting. Record and graph data.
Documenting progress through detailed notes.
Consistent communication with Senior Therapist and BCBA. COVID-19 considerations: Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) as required. Good handwashing and sanitizing are a must. About Side by Side Therapy Side by Side Therapy offers the following services: Comprehensive ABA Programs Focused ABA Programs Parent/Caregiver Coaching Behaviour Consultation BCBA Mentorship and Supervision Occupational Therapy Speech-Language Pathology Social Skills Training For children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other special needs. Comprehensive or focused ABA programs, behaviour consultations and parent coaching are available. We understand that Parents of children with autism or other special needs often have a very difficult time understanding their child's challenging behaviour. We create specialized, function-based interventions that teach the skills necessary to reduce and replace these behaviours. As a result, the family achieves an improved quality of life.
Requirements
Successful candidates should possess: Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with other team members.
A valid Ontario Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle or other reliable methods of transportation.
A College Diploma or University Degree in a related field.
ABA/Autism-related Diploma/Certificate is an asset.
Minimum 6-months of experience implementing ABA teaching strategies. Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT), or working towards RBT certification is an asset.
