JOB PURPOSE
As a member of an interdisciplinary team, provides quality patient care within the scope of professional nursing practice to patients and families under the Healthy Aging program including the Veteran's Facility.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Active Registration with NANB
- Current BCLS Certification
- Demonstrated skills working with geriatric, restorative and rehabilitative patients as well as long term patients with physical disabilities and dementia conditions
- Demonstrated assessment skills and the ability to function independently with minimal supervision
- Effective communication skills and the ability to direct and supervise other staff
- Demonstrated teaching, communication, interpersonal and team building skills
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing education in gerontology, restorative/rehabilitative care and dementia care
- Ability to attend work on a regular basis
- Ability to perform the duties of the position
- Good work record
