Description:

â¢Support requirements engineers in developing technical requirements, verification approach and methods at system/sub-system level
â¢Support the Vehicle Architect in developing system/sub-system architectures ensuring consistency with developed requirements
â¢Monitor/maintain the integrity of: product structure, system architecture, requirements and compliance through the product cycle developmentâs cycle process
â¢Ensure engineering design activities aligned with systems engineering (SE) principles and compliant with IPS
â¢Support the overall design & development process to ensure task completion & quality design output by
â¢Holding engineering workshops to define and prioritize tasks/issues
â¢Coordinate design maturity reviews
â¢Manage the engineering workbooks (including design information standardization & progress reporting)

$26.00 â 40.00/hourly

Responsibilities
â¢Assisting teams in identifying, recording project risks and associated mitigation actions
â¢Assure IPT products achieve performance requirements, Technical Performance Measures (TPM)âs and all allocation targets including weight, power, and space claim
â¢Manage weight & power allocation including weight/center of gravity/power calculations and sensitivity analyses
â¢Lead and participate in validation of weight, center of gravity and electrical power calculations
â¢Report on vehicle level weight/power and balance at review meetings
â¢Coordinate SE resources including Systems Design, Analysis & Verification to ensure accuracy, completeness & SE products delivery in a timely manner
â¢Oversee and responsible for preparation, review and approval of project documentation (check points and design reviews). Provide assessment for checkpoint reviewsâ quality at sub-system level.
â¢Support Engineering Project Mgmt. with development and technical execution of Integrated Master Schedule for SE scope

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
â¢University Degree or College Diploma in Engineering or technical discipline
â¢Minimum 3-5 yearsâ experience in Engineering or similar technical background
â¢Demonstrated ability to develop budgets and schedules
â¢Strong technical and analytical ability
â¢Product knowledge of the vehicle
â¢Strong communication, organization and prioritization skills
â¢Demonstrated ability to give presentations to internal and external customers
â¢Ability to travel (5% Canadian, 10% US & International) and possess/be able to acquire and maintain a valid passport
â¢Must be able to meet Anthropometrical Size Requirements for confined space

Summary
Preferred Qualifications:
â¢Demonstrated knowledge of mobility systems and vehicle performance
â¢Strong knowledge of cross-departmental procedures / practices
â¢Strong knowledge of vehicle design practices
â¢Basic understanding of requirements development and system verification processes
