- Instruction to apprentice, entry level, or Industry Services students; short-term coverage for full-time Instructor release, preparing and presenting classroom lectures; practical demonstrations, and working collectively with the Piping Chief Instructor.

- Teach employability skills and assist with time management.
- Spend the extra effort with students who are struggling, and challenge the students who are excelling.
- A commitment to teaching excellence and preparation of outstanding graduates is foremost.
- BC Trades Certificate of Qualification with Inter-Provincial Red Seal in Steamfitting, Plumbing or Gasfitting
- Sprinkler fitter certification would be an asset
- Minimum 'B' Gas Certificate yet 'A' Gas Certificate would be an asset
- Five years' current work experience as a journeyperson
- Supervisory and previous teaching experience is an asset
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to instruct the curriculum
- Effective interpersonal skills and a strong desire to teach
- Effective command of the English language, both written and oral
- Experience working with apprentices in a supervisory role
- Ability to work as part of a team and develop a collegial environment
- Completion of the Provincial Instructors Diploma Program would be an asset
