The Aerostructure Market of Héroux-Devtek focuses on a complete line of precision machined structural components and assemblies, from simple aluminum parts to large monolithic five-axis complex components.

Inspection of brazed assemblies and chassis with high degree of accuracy to drawing specifications.

Main responsibilities:
• Inspect parts at engineering specified stages during the manufacturing cycle to verify conformity to dimensional and technical requirements including First Off Inspections
• Inspect and verify conformity of parts as received from various outside processes prior to release to the manufacturing cycle
• Inspect and process purchased items and associated documentation
• Validate OSI (On-Site Inspections)
• Validate completion status and closure of NCR (Non-Conformance Reports) and concessions prior to shipping
• Validate closure of all positive recall items
• Final inspect parts prior to release to the customer
• Perform customer Delegated Source Inspection
• Verify accuracy and completeness of customer quality documentation.
• Ensure traceability and inspection status requirements are current at time of inspection
• Generate and process all inspection related documentation, including
o AS9102 FAI packages
o Initiate NMR (Nonconforming Materials Reports) process for defective parts received from suppliers and internally manufactured.
o Baan WIP (Work In Progress) Status Reports
o Baan Non-conformance Reports
o Release note packages
o Customer Concessions
o Positive Recall
• Daily update of KPIs on the DMS board and in Excel spreadsheet in the Q: drive

ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES:
• Lean 5S and cleaning/maintaining of work area cleanliness.
• Adherence to all company policies, procedures and health and safety requirements.
• Any other duties as assigned.

• Minimum Gr. 12 / high school completion.
• 1-2 years quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
• High level of accountability due to criticality of the product
• Ability to perform detailed manual verification on complex parts and assemblies
• Ability to make appropriate decisions from a customer perspective
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and GD&T
• Ability to use measuring, inspection and testing tools and equipment
• Practical understanding of customer configuration control
• Use of Baan for QC transactions and data entry
• Ability to gather information from supplier and customer web sites
• Familiar with FMEA and APQP
• Knowledge of AS9100 procedures
• Knowledge of Customer requirements
• Use of InspectionXpert software for making First Article reports.
• Impeccable attention to detail and excellent documentation skills.
• Understanding of inspection processes and requirements.
• Oral and written communications skills.
• Motivated with a "can-do" attitude.
• Ability to work with co-workers and external contacts in a positive and professional manner.
