Position Overview:

We are seeking a proactive Logistics Supervisor to join our team, reporting to the Corporate Transportation Manager. In this role, you will streamline logistics operations, ensuring efficient and timely shipping, receiving, and scheduling. You will uphold safety compliance, provide support and guidance to drivers, and utilize technology to enhance operational efficiency. Location: Summerside, PE and Charlottetown, PE

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage logistics and transportation activities, including shipping, receiving, and scheduling routes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety initiatives, and highway regulations.
  • Coordinate and mentor the transportation team, providing training and support to drivers.
  • Track shipments and ensure timely, efficient deliveries.
  • Resolve logistics issues and implement service quality improvements.
  • Utilize logistics software to enhance productivity and equipment utilization.
  • Maintain accurate reports and manage driver payroll.
  • Oversee daily routes, schedules, and customer deliveries.
  • Manage the productivity of the ADL fleet.
  • Support Fleet Maintenance Activities.
  • Professionally handle and manage driver issues.
  • Motivate the team to achieve organizational objectives and foster collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Experience in logistics or transportation management.
  • Post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in supervising and managing drivers.
  • Strong understanding of transportation and fleet management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and technology.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • High ethical standards and integrity.
  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Certifications in logistics or transportation management (Preferred).

  • Wage rate ranges at $28.50 - $32.00 and will be based on the candidate's experience and success in similar positions.
