We are seeking a motivated individual for the position of Shipper/Receiver. This role involves handling shipping and receiving tasks, operating a propane SDCB forklift (10% of the time), and using a manual pallet jack. This is a full-time, on-site role for a Warehouse Associate responsible for shipping and receiving, packing, unloading, forklift operation, and pallet jack operation. The role involves working closely with the warehouse team to ensure efficient and accurate handling of materials and products. The Warehouse Associate will also assist in inventory management and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse.

Position Title: Shipper/Receiver

Type of Machine/Tool:
Propane SDCB forklift
Manual pallet jack

Certification:
No prior certification required; forklift certification will be provided internally.

Pay: $20-$24 per hour, based on experience

Shift:
Days: Monday - Friday
Hours: 6 am - 3/3:30 pm
Overtime: May be required to stay late or come early for receiving or loading trucks
PPE - steel toes
This position is located close to transit although shift times may make it difficult to continue

Must Haves:
Must be located within Calgary
Sit-down counterbalance forklift experience (a couple of years)
Inventory experience
Computer skills
Knowledge of proper lifting techniques
Respectful demeanor
Nice to Haves:

Experience in manufacturing, particularly in the cabinet business or the industrial sector
Willingness to grow and take initiative in the warehouse

Qualifications
Ability to demonstrate safe lifting procedures
Experience in shipping and receiving, packing, and unloading
Proficiency in forklift and pallet jack operation
Ability to lift and move heavy objects
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Good communication and teamwork skills
Experience in inventory management is a plus
Fluent in English (writing, reading, understanding, and communicating)
Legally able to work for any Canadian employer
