Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review Project Execution Plans for non-routine work.
  • Perform complex LOTOs.
  • Supports vacation, swing shift, and absence coverage (when needed or possible).
  • May provide additional night coverage for process upsets.
  • Identify, scope, prioritize, and provide operational support for MOCs as required.
  • Assist in the modification and final review of Operating Procedures.
  • May assist Team Lead in CMDS practical validations and training as required.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the DRU facility process, operational parameters, and impact on product specification.
  • Submits projects and ideas to the budget process for potential implementation for the improvement of the facility.
  • Identifies non-value-added expenses/costs and assist with elimination of waste in day-to-day operating costs.
  • Supports the safe and reliable operation of the DRU facility.
  • Conducts sampling and testing to verify facility is meeting product quality specifications.
  • Familiarity with DCS HMI screens and controls of the DRU facility.
  • Conduct maintenance and repairs, equipment checks.
  • Plan and executes assigned maintenance expense and capital projects including minor facility modifications or upgrades, and piping and equipment integrity work.
  • Provides hands-on assistance to maintenance personnel as required.
  • Ensures all maintenance projects and work are carried out in a safe and efficient manner and compliant with all applicable regulations.
  • Manages the Authorization to Work Program at their asset(s) and is aware of all work being performed in their respective location and identify any potential conflicts; work observations, inspections and other.
  • Ensures to work with company Environmental & Regulatory Specialist to ensure all regulatory monitoring including groundwater, soil, and air is completed in a timely manner and meets all regulatory approval and provincial and federal requirements.
  • Executes all ground disturbance requirements, process calls, provides feedback and executes backfill supervision for third parties as required.
  • Provides emergency response, on-call support and relief coverage as required.
  • Promotes the Company's strong safety culture by supporting EH&S related meetings, near miss, incident and compliance reporting and investigations.
  • Demonstrates a personal commitment and proactive approach to Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) through participation in all applicable EH&S programs and ensures safe operation of the branch, team or unit and compliance with all Company EH&S policies and procedures.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
  • Minimum ABSA 4th Class Power Engineering certification.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in operations in support of crude oil or gas processing. Preference will be made towards candidates with hot oil processing and boiler experience.
  • Will be required to participate in the Operator training program for the appropriate operations level.
  • Ability to clearly interpret and mark up technical drawings including P&IDs, SD Keys, and RATS lists.
  • Proficient in the use of PC's and Microsoft Windows software, including Word and Excel.

The EHS Record Administrator role is responsible for administering Environment Health and Safety (EHS) Records in adherence to the Information Management Program.
  • Provides Records and Information Management support to EHS to migrate Occupational Health and Safety, Emergency Management, Environmental Management and Security Management teams to migrate documentation to approved Information Management templates.
  • Uploads documents to Gibson's records management system ensuring metadata tags are recorded in accordance with system and Information Management process requirements.
  • Demonstrates a personal commitment and proactive approach to Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) through participation in all applicable EH&S programs and ensures safe operation of the branch, team or unit and compliance with all Company EH&S policies and procedures.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience in Records Management, including working with electronic records.
  • Experience with the application of records classifications schemes and metadata.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint and Office 365.
  • Experience in using archival storage facilities systems.
  • Ability to develop strong collaborative working relationships with all levels of individuals.
  • Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Post-Secondary education, specializing in the field of Records Management is an asset.
