Are you an experienced Senior Batch Job & Workload Automation Developer looking for your next challenge? Our Victoria government client is seeking a skilled professional to join their Information Technology Engineering team on an initial a one-year contract. You'll be responsible for automating processes using enterprise batch scheduling tools, such as Redwood Cronacle, and developing high-quality software scripts to interact with internal REST APIs, WebServices, SFTP Servers, and Oracle Databases. This on-site role requires full-time commitment and includes responsibilities such as developing new application code, designing job scheduling workflows, and supporting systems in test and production environments. Responsibilities
⢠Develop new application code and documentation from software specifications.
⢠Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and other stakeholders to understand solution requirements.
⢠Design and configure Job Scheduling Workflows to enable orchestration of batch processes.
⢠Maintain existing application software specifications and technical documentation.
⢠Follow quality assurance standards during design, development, and implementation phases.
⢠Perform unit and integration testing of software to ensure proper and efficient execution, as well as requirements compliance.
⢠Support systems in test and production environments and assist with problem resolution/debugging.
⢠Support and maintain existing applications and develop enhancements to existing software.

Qualifications
⢠5+ years of experience using enterprise-level job schedulers, such as Redwood Cronacle or Fortra JAMS.
⢠5+ years of experience programming with object-oriented languages such as C#, Java, or C++.
⢠5+ years of experience programming in scripting languages like PowerShell, TypeScript, Bash, or Groovy.
⢠5+ years of experience scripting file commands for tasks like creating, parsing, serializing, transferring (using SFTP), and deleting flat files.
⢠5+ years of experience in Oracle Database programming, including SQL and PL/SQL.

Recent demonstrated experience in the following areas:

⢠DevOps tools such as GitHub and SVN
⢠SOAP Services and XML
⢠Agile (Scrum) Software Development Process methodologies.
