The Food Service Department plans, organizes, directs and executes the food service operation during morning breakfast hours.

-The main function is to prepare meals according to Marriott brand standard, clean and maintain equipment in proper order, before during and after meals by offering impeccable service to guests.

-Prepare and serve meals as per instructions;

-Purchase and manage material resources (supplies and inventory management);

-Ensure the application of hygiene, sanitation, health and safety standards in the workplace;

-Ensure optimal use of all facilities to maximize profitability;

-Apply all brand standards, departmental policies and procedures;

-Morning shift: Responsible to offer the Breakfast experience, 5 hours per weekend day;

-Carry out promotional activities;

-Availability weekends and holidays) and ability to accomplish tasks with flexibility;

-Ability to work standing during 5 hour shifts and carry materials; 

-Ensure customer service and satisfaction during and after the consumption of the product or service

-Minimum of 2 years experience (within a Marriott environment an asset);

-Professional attitude and behaviour (teamwork skills, autonomy, dynamism, interpersonal skills, honesty, versatility, sense of initiative, organizational skills, etc.);

-Knowledge of French and English. Knowledge of other languages an asset;

-Knowledge of the tourism industry and customer needs;

-Knowledge and application of labor standards and basic principles of health and safety, as well as hygiene and sanitation;

-Written and verbal communication skills;

-Knowledge of basic principles of operation of relevant computer systems;

-Stress tolerance, work well under pressure.
