Your role @ Chanel:

As Financial Planning Lead, you will play a central role in driving financial performance and supporting strategic decision making for the Fashion, Watches & Fine Jewelry divisions.

What impact you can create at Chanel:

  • Provide financial insights and analysis to help identify opportunities for growth, cost optimization and operational efficiency improvements;

  • Monitor KPIs and financial metrics to track company's performance against targets and objectives;

  • Key interactions with various stakeholders: cross-functional business teams; senior executives including CEO and CFO; UK Regional teams;

  • Manage the preparation of Fashion, WFJ financial planning reports (P&Ls, reconciliations, sales reporting, etc.);

  • Manage and review the planning of all expenses in the Fashion, WFJ P&L (from Cost of Sales, Advertising, Promotion and SMG&A to Boutique Expense and Corporate managed SMG&A);

  • Perform a consolidated review of the Fashion, WFJ P&L during each monthly update and budget reporting period;

  • Oversee and review a qualitative analysis of the expense budgets to identify and assess any risk or opportunity (via YTD-YTG reports and discussions with business partners);

  • Prepare presentations to analyze and summarize the Fashion, WFJ business at key moments during the fiscal year. This requires working directly with the Fashion, WFJ Leadership team to create high-level presentations for the following meetings:​

    • Each budget cycle & Mid Term Plans (MTP)​

    • Business Reviews​;

  • Conduct ad hoc analysis and tasks as needed;​

  • Ability to summarize and highlight key findings from all analysis performed for senior management review;

  • At each Budget cycle, work with cross-functional teams and assist with managing the budget, forecasting and month-end processes;

  • Support with Year-End Boutique inventory Counts;

  • Define SOP for the Fashion Boutiques;

  • Work closely with Merchandising team to review Open To Buy (OTB);

  • Participate in various divisional projects.

What you will bring to the role:

  • 5+ years experience; preferably CPA designation

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (most notably Excel & PowerPoint)

  • Advanced knowledge in Power BI - an asset

  • High standards of accuracy and precision

  • Solid knowledge of financial planning and exceptional analytical skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (both French and English)

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work and be highly organized

  • Ability to think creatively, highly driven and self-motivated with great positive attitude

Votre rôle chez CHANEL :

En tant que Responsable de la planification financière, vous jouerez un rôle central dans l'amélioration des performances financières et le soutien à la prise de décision stratégique, pour les divisions Mode, Montres et Fine Joaillerie.

L'impact que vous aurez chez CHANEL :

  • Fournir des informations et des analyses financières afin d'identifier les opportunités de croissance, d'optimisation des coûts et d'améliorer l'efficacité opérationnelle;

  • Contrôler les indicateurs clés de performance et les mesures financières afin de suivre la performance de l'entreprise par rapport aux cibles et aux objectifs;

  • Interagir avec diverses parties prenantes : nos équipes commerciales interfonctionnelles, nos cadres supérieurs, y compris le PDG et Directeur Financier, nos équipes régionales au Royaume-Uni, et plus encore;

  • Gérer la préparation des rapports de planification financière de Mode, M&FJ (comptes de résultat, rapprochements, rapports sur les ventes, etc.);

  • Gérer et examiner la planification de toutes les dépenses dans le compte de résultat des divisions (coût des ventes, de la publicité, de la promotion et des frais de gestion et d'administrations gérés par l'entreprise);

  • Procéder à un examen consolidé du compte de résultat des divisions Mode, M&FJ au cours de chaque mise à jour et de la période de rapport budgétaire;

  • Superviser et examiner une analyse qualitative des budgets de dépense afin d'identifier et d'évaluer tout risque ou opportunité (via les rapports YTD-YTG et les discussions avec les partenaires commerciaux);

  • Préparer les présentations pour analyser et résumer les activités de Mode, M&FJ à des moments clés de l'année fiscale. Cela implique la collaboration directe avec l'équipe de direction Mode, M&FJ pour créer des présentations de haut niveau pour les réunions suivantes :

  • Chaque cycle budgétaire et les plans à moyen terme (MTP)

  • Revues d'entreprise;

  • Effectuer des analyses et des tâches ad hoc selon les besoins;

  • Capacité à résumer et à mettre en évidence les principales conclusions de toutes les analyses effectuées, pour examen par la direction générales;

  • Travailler avec des équipes interfonctionnelles à chaque cycle budgétaire, et contribuer à la gestion du budget, des prévisions et des processus de fin de mois;

  • Contribuer aux inventaires de fin d'année des Boutiques;

  • Définir les procédures opérationnelles normalisées pour les Boutiques;

  • Travailler en étroite collaboration avec notre équipe de marchandisage pour examiner les budgets et achats des collections (OTB);

  • Participer à divers projets de la division.

La façon dont vous contribuerez au rôle :

  • 5 ans d'expérience ou plus, de préférence avec le titre de CPA;

  • Grande maîtrise de Microsoft Office (Excel et Powerpoint plus particulièrement);

  • Connaissance avancée de Power BI - un atout;

  • Très bon niveau d'exactitude et de précision;

  • Grande connaissance de la planification financière et compétences analytiques exceptionnelles;

  • Capacité à gérer plusieurs tâches, à établir des priorités et à faire preuve d'un grand sens de l'organisation;

  • Capacité à faire preuve de créativité; à être motivé et à motiver et à adopter une attitude positive;

  • Bilinguisme (français et anglais, tant à l'oral qu'à l'écrit) afin de transiger avec les équipes hors-Québec et à l'international.
