SMS Equipment is growing We are looking for a Shop Mechanic to join our team In this role you will find solutions, make safety a priority and work with the largest, most advanced earthmoving equipment. This role is located in St-Augustin.

The shift for this role is 5x2.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

Determine the nature of the repairs and the time required to repair and repair faults. Order parts required for repairs. Adjust, repair and/or replace defective parts using hand or power tools. Test repaired equipment to ensure that it works and that repairs comply with manufacturer's requirements. Clean and lubricate equipment and perform routine maintenance. Carry out tasks assigned by the group leader and/or workshop supervisor. Respect established repair times. Work in a safe manner. Clean work area and maintain workshop equipment in good condition. Complete required documents such as time sheets, warranty reports, etc. on a daily basis. Store tools supplied by SMS in their respective locations. Perform any other related tasks as requested by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications :

The successful candidate will possess a Heavy Equipment Technician Certification. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Other requirements include :

DEP in heavy equipment or equivalent. Minimum 5 years' experience in construction equipment mechanics. Knowledge of Komatsu products an asset. Autonomous Good team spirit and ability to detect defects. Customer service oriented.
