Position: Transit / Airport Shuttle Driver

Location- Prince Rupert

PWTransit is currently seeking a casual Transit / Airport Shuttle Driver to join our team in Prince Rupert. We offer free training, competitive wages, and a family-oriented team environment. Transit / Airport Shuttle Driver

PWTransit is currently seeking a casual Transit / Airport Shuttle Driver to join our team in Prince Rupert. We offer free training, competitive wages, and a family-oriented team environment. Drivers are responsible for safely transporting passengers on a daily basis and must be committed to providing superior customer service. Commitment, patience, maturity, and initiative are all required qualities.

Wage: $24.90 per hour - Luggage Truck, $28.50 per hour - Passenger Bus

Position Requirements:

Valid Class 1 or 2 driver's license Airbrake endorsement Driver's abstract with no more than 3 demerit points Willingness to undergo drug and alcohol screening Clear criminal record Must be organized, punctual and reliable Possess excellent driving skills and habits Ability to read maps and navigate Ability to communicate effectively A good knowledge of the local area is a definite asset Willing to work shifts, including split shifts, Monday to Sunday as necessary (transit service operates 7 days per week, 17 hours per day)

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Safely transport passengers on a number of assigned routes Manage passenger behaviour by quickly and effectively solving problems Safely operate luggage truck; follow transit buses to and from airport Load and unload passenger luggage Drive safely and responsibly and be prepared for all road and traffic conditions Provide superior customer service and assist with passenger questions/inquiries

Additional Information:

A good knowledge of the local area is an asset Selected applicants will be required to participate in a comprehensive recruitment process which consists of interviews, trainability session, medical examination (as required for licensing), drug and alcohol screening, criminal record and reference checks
