The Job

The Core Engine team is responsible for maintaining and evolving the You.i Engine, which powers the Max Android TV application and Porting Kit. As a Junior Software developer, you will contribute to feature and product development for You.i Engine. You will work as a part of a highly collaborative Agile team to push innovation forward.

The Daily

  • Develop and maintain software applications using C++.
  • Collaborate with other team members through Agile development practices.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and review meetings.
  • Utilize Git and GitHub for source code management and version control.
  • Write clean, scalable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices.
  • Assist in the design, coding, testing, and debugging of new software or enhancements to existing software.
  • Work closely with senior developers and mentors to enhance your professional skills and capabilities.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to functional requirements.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software.


The Essentials

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in C++ programming.
  • Familiarity with Git and GitHub for version control.
  • Basic understanding of Agile methodologies and collaborative teamwork.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
